Interview with Garyji July 28, 2025

Discussing some fun stuff about Jung, the awakening process, and it’s often accompanied disappearance of volition.

We are Intrinsically Noble

I was 16 years old when my meditation teacher gifted me an exceptionally vital instruction.

We are intrinsically noble. It is our birthright. Tragically, some of us resolve to abdicate this beautiful nobility to another.

This perilous error is committed in hopes of exchanging our birthright for a quality, feeling, or object falsely perceived to be superlative. This substitution gains only ephemeral adornments for the insatiable ego: to feel love, validation, or for monetary gain.

Indisputably, nothing more precious than our inherent nobility exists.

To echo the words of my dear teacher, never sacrifice your nobility. To anyone. To anything.

Thoughts are ephemeral, unchosen, and primarily uncontrolled. Don’t let them defeat you. Don’t let them control you. You are not them. Don’t identify with them. That will bring certain suffering.

Your thoughts are like birds passing across a clear, bright, blue sky. You, yourself, your shining magnificence, your true nature is that radiant clear blue sky, while the thoughts simply pass away.

Look for that break in thoughts. That point of still silence. Who or what is watching the thinking going on? See that cloudless, brilliant sky. And there you will find the full, beautiful, empty nothingness of everything.

How I embrace the glorious approach of autumn! The oppressive heat of the summer months is again exiled for yet another year. The vivacious crisp air descends upon us like a gentle benediction from that which dreams us into being.

A stillness, a silence, dawns as the earth begins to ready itself for its winter slumber. The fauna prepare to sleep away the winter or die as their short lifespans conclude. The trees, in a radiant, beautiful display that harkens us to remember that all things in this material world of shape and form shall die and pass away into infinity, gloriously change the colors of their leaves before withering into oblivion, just as our bodies will, in time. A reminder to embrace the beauty of this short, exquisite life we have.

Solitude, silence, stillness begin to blanket the land and a calm, abiding, fresh presence welcomes a new season, jubilantly presenting itself for a few short moments.

Autumn. My most favorite of times is upon us and it’s utterly magnificent!

These thoughts, which you so ardently and vehemently hold on to with a rapacious greed, identifying with them as yourself, are not you. Find the space between which is.

The sky promises emptiness filled with grace.
The earth promises love filled with nothingness.

Between the two, we stretch. We fly. We soar. We awaken. The dream crumbles.

“I am!” Was the lie she eternally whispered to herself so she would believe that she and everything around her was real.

While her heart longed to hear the truth that love forever whispered in her ear, “No, my darling, you are not.”

Here’s a fabulous secret. You are made of stardust. Stardust from a billion stars. The universe lives in and through you. You are here for the universe to express its love and devotion for experiencing creation and the manifestation of experiences. You are enabling the divine nature of the universe to unfurl and bloom violently and proudly in such magnificent ways we can’t even comprehend with the human mind.

So my challenge to you is this: shine with that brilliant stardust. Shine with the power and glory of a billion stars fulfilling their purpose of universal unfoldment! You are that! You are sacred. You are whole. You are complete. You are the universe! ॐ

If you stop everything. Stop looking for something to make you happy. Stop looking for something to make you better. Stop trying to be perfect. Stop trying to be someone else. Stop trying to do, be, have, achieve. If you truly stop all of that and allow yourself to simply rest in what Is you find a solitude. A Beingness. A point of grace where you are immortal— unborn, undying. Beyond the body. Beyond all thought. You find you are a limitless ocean of consciousness. It’s purely beautiful. Serene. Full. Yet empty. It is your essence.

Stop. Feel. Know. You are impenetrable.
